One Direction- Made in the A.M album review

It's back to that time of year again where One Direction release a brand new album. Sadly for the fans of the boys it's going to be the last one they make as their about to embark on a two-year break. (Sad face emoji). But never fear because although they may be about to take a well deserved break their music will forever live on through the technology of our Ipods, phone or the traditional way of a CD.

1D's filth album Made in the A.M is truly their best one yet as it really signifies everything the boys have gone through in the last five years since coming third on the X-Factor in 2010. The sound is more mature and shows their softer side. The sound itself is full of soft melodies and pure, heart felt emotions and anthems. The album contains seventeen tracks that are all worthy of a listen.

1-Hey Angel. The first song on the album is lyrically beautiful and the big drum beats give it a emotional feel. Each verse contains the lyrical "hey angel" with a question style response such as "do you look at us and laugh when we hold onto the past"? This conversation style lyric makes it feel as a listener that their directly singing to you giving you that closeness to the band.

2- Drag me down. This song was the bands first single for the album where in went number 1 in over 90 countries. The video was shot in the space station NASA where the boys are in training to go to space. Talking about the song, this is a real party anthem where you would defiantly be dancing to the song in front of your mirror in your bedroom. The repetitive rhythm makes it extremely catchy that you can't help but sing along.

3-Perfect. This song was the bands second single from the album and again was extremely successful. This is a more toned down song compared to Drag me down but equally just as amazing. As some people have suggested the lyrics contain details from the relationship between Harry Styles and Taylor Swift which gives a more interesting listen.

4-Infinity.This song is one of my most favourites to listen to. I love the repetitive guitar riffs at the beginning and the song as a whole. The song shows of Harry's rustic voice perfectly. Brilliant song.

5-End of the day. This again is another great pop song that very catchy and very easy to sing along to.

6-If I could fly. This is by far my favourite song on the album. It's completely stripped back compared to any other song thieve written. The piano melody is wonderfully played and shows the boys can sing a song without the loud, electric instruments.

7-Long way down. This song is fairly similar to end of the day but again a great addition to the album.

8-Never enough. This song shows how not innocent the all four boys are as the fast paced lyrics give it a feel of mischief and boy trouble. The instruments played together give a jungle like vibe reminding me very much of  the Jungle book.

9-Olivia. None of us know who "Olivia" is but I can but a bet on it that it's about one of the boys past relationships. Just like the song before the lyrics and music are very fast paced and is a lot of fun to listen to.

10-What a feeling. Not too much to say about this song. It's very typical of One Direction in a good way. Gives something different than a traditional boyband song.

11-Love you goodbye. The way the lyrics and the music go together reminds me of something by One Republic.

If I continue to write what I think about the rest of every song we would be here forever, so I am going to just some up the rest of the album. I really, really like this album. It's defiantly my favourite album from One Direction and is everything you want is a good pop album by a hugely successful boyband. 100% worth listening too.

The style factor

Saturday and Sunday night to me means only one thing and that is the X Factor. I love coming home from work, getting in my pj's, sitting with a cup of tea watching wannabe pop starts perform live on TV to millions of people.
As well as watching the contestants grow as people and performers another of my favourite items from watching the X Factor is the fashion. As soon as those large doors open and the judges walk out onto the stage the first thing I do is witness the amazing creations worn by the current X Factor judges Cheryl Vernandz Fersini and Rita Ora. To me they are fashion queens as well as pop star royalty so seeing what they are going to be putting together fills me with joy.
This week was no exception as Cheryl and Rita walked onto the stage looking like gorgeous princesses.

Cheryl opted out for a gold, glittery frock that shimmered all the way to her feet. I love this outfit because it's everything you want in a dress especially for the time of year were coming into. Its gold, glittery and screams beautiful. The dress shows of her amazing figure and is very 1920's inspired and shows off her sophistication. The outfit in the picture Is what she wear on Sunday night designed by designer Stephane Rolland. T

The next outfit is worn by Rita Ora also from last nights episode. Her outfit came from a ready-to-wear company called Acne Studios. This ensemble is completely different style to Cheryl's. I can only describe it as mixed between an over sized blazer and a mini dress. The gold, black and blue go really nice together and accompanied Cheryl's frock very nicely. It gives a sense of masculinity as well as sophistication and feminine.

These next outfits are what Cheryl and Rita wore on Saturday nights episode of the X Factor. Again I think the judges are excelling themselves this year in terms of fashion. They haven't put on anything ridiculous and are sticking to what they look amazing in. I absolutely love what Cheryl wore. It's elegant and the clean, white colour gives it that feminine feel. The shoulder pads also give that 80's retro vide. This is something I would defiantly wear if I had something to wear it to.
Now lets talk about Rita's amazing ball gown. It's such a typical, girly girl dress. Something you might wear to prom which I just love. The subtle pink colour is so elegant without being too in your face and really shows of Rita's youth and beauty.

The Max Factor Lipfinity lipstick

I have been wanting this lip product for a long time. Every time I went into a Boots or Superdrug store, I would eye up the Max Factor counter contemplating if I should purchase it or not. One of the reasons why I was on the fence about buying this product was because its price is £8.99. It doesn't sound like a lot compared to most other lip products but when your a student on a part time job it is. But one of the reasons that drawn me into buying it was because from looks alone it looked like a balm texture. And for me personally I get on better with this type of texture than just standard lipsticks. But in the end I took the plunge and brought it.

The actual name for the lipstick is The Max Factor Lipfinity in the shade Just Deluxe. I would describe the colour as a cherry red.  A really beautiful Autumn and Winter colour now were coming into the colder months.

The application is so easy to apply as the product is in a angled shape perfect for putting straight onto your lips. It's a really nice smooth application and lives the lips feeling moisturised. It also has a matt finish and last a really long time.

The product is a really, nice, slim, small product that is a shiny, gold colour. This gives a luxury feel and the size is perfect for putting into your hand bag so you can use it on the go.

I'm not sure how many shades they offer but I am sure if you go into your local boots or superdrug you can have a look.

Overall I really like this product despite not being what I thought it was going to be.

My top ten bested dressed.

This is the first blog post I have written in absolutely ages and there are a couple of reasons why. The first one is that I am now back at University which has taken up the majority of my time. I've only been back for a week and already I've been given two ethics essay's so you can see why I haven't had much time to sit down and write a post probably. The second reason is that there are many family events going on at the moment (all good stuff) and thirdly I have been struck with writers block. For some reason I can't think of anything to write about. My mind is just completely blank with ideas. I would like to do more fashion pieces but I have no one who take the pictures for me and I don't think it looks very professional having my pictures taken with my phone in front of my bedroom mirror.

That is why I thought I would start of by writing something really simple and easy, nothing to over the top and something that will help me ease back into blogging. So from the title of this post I have decided to write a lost of my top ten bested dressed celebrities.

At some point in our life’s we have looked up to our favourite celebrities for inspiration on what we wear and how we dress. This could be when we were five years old just starting school or during our teenage years trying to look cool. But even now I search through the images of my favourite celebrities trying to re-create the stylish, fashionable and edgy clothing choices with the determination to look like I had just walked out of a fashion show. That Is why I have piled together a list showing my top ten bested dressed celebs.

10-Ellie Goulding. Without a doubt Ellie Goulding has the voice of an angle and her music has brought her success all over the world. But it’s her fashion sense that has been highly recognized in magazines alike landing her number 28 in Glamour’s bested dressed list. Her new found confidence has seen her being pictured in daring pieces such as sequined crop tops showing flesh she would never show before. She doesn’t wear things people think she should be wearing but goes out it exactly what she wants.
9- Cara Delevigne. She's the queen of the eyebrows, the queen of cool and queen of the catwalk. At a young age of twenty-two, Cara has concurred the fashion world like a tornado to a straw house in Texas America. She makes the masculine style cut suit look sexy and her don't care attitude oozes confidence in anything she wears making her one of the most inspiring dresses.
8-Kendel Jenner. What is a bested dressed list without a Kardashian or Jenner? Kendel (the half sister to Kim Kardashian and older sister to Kylie Jenner) has come out of no where. She was once the shy, young girl on reality show Keeping up with the Kardashians and is now one of the most in demand models ever. Her slim, model figure gives her the opportunity to wear high, neck crop tops and skinny jeans. She could go out in a grey, plain t-shirt, denim shorts and trainers and still look cool.
7-Fearne Cotton is without a doubt a fashion guru. She can wear some of the most unusual combinations of clothing and it will look amazing. Her style goes from faux leopard print to a pretty, pink dress. Everything she wears suits her down to a T. Even while having her two children, her choice in maternity clothing is effortless and whatever she wears proudly shows her bump in style.
6-Rosie Huntting-Whiteley. Aside from being drop dead gorgeous, and a successful underwear range for Marks and Spencers, she also has amazing fashion sense. Her outfit choices are so simple yet so effortless. Her style goes from cute, city chic to red carpet ready. She makes copying her outfits easy by promoting the great British High Street.
5- Cheryl Fernandez Versini has been one of my style inspirations since the early days of Girls Aloud. Her style is edgy, glamorous and casual all at once. She's not afraid to experiment with completely different items of clothing, patterns and colours.
4- Victoria Beckham. At some point in this list Victoria Beckham was bound to be in it. She is without a doubt a fashion god with a designer label that shaped her very own empire. She knows exactly what is on trend and her black and white style makes her one of the bested dressed women in Britain. From the very start of her career with the Spice Girls she was born to work in fashion and it was clear from her little black dress number in the 90's what she was born to do.
3 - Taylor Swift. Can we please take a moment to appreciate how perfect Taylor's life is. Her music career has sky rocketed having the fasted selling album of the year so far, full of great pop tunes, her choice of clothing is flawless and her boyfriend, Scottish DJ hunk Calvin Harris. Her style is right up my street. The outfits she wears are defiantly what I would wear.
2- Kate Moss. The legend that is Kate Moss had to make an appearance at some point in this bested dressed list and by just missing out on the top spot she is at number two. (Which isn't bad at all). Kate has been the top of many bested dressed list and for good reason too. I would say her style is a mixture of simple, casual, edgy rock chic. I can't explain why I love her fashion I just do.
1. At last we have come to the end of my bested dressed celebrities. We have had some amazing contenders but the person who has made it to number one is the Saturdays singer Mollie King. No matter what she wears I love it. it's so pretty, girly and everything I love in an outfit. I would describe it as city chic. I think I love her clothing choices the most is because I would literally wear the exact outfits she wears. And that is why she is at number one.

Getting ready for uni

From the title of this post you would presume that getting ready for university meant getting a head start on your studies or perhaps making sure you have all the resources you need for that dreaded first day. But no for me, getting ready for university meant getting a nice, fresh hair cut and getting my nails done. If this sounds a lot like you, then you might want to carry on reading.

The first thing I have done to prepare myself back to university life is getting my hair cut. As some of you may know my hair is quite curly so when I go to the hair dressers I keep it very simple. I know what I like and how I have my hair style. I do not have any layers and my parting goes straight down the middle. The hair dressers that I go to is a hair dressers in Northampton where I live called Shine. I've been getting my hair done here for a while now as I find the way they cut my hair, the style that I like it. I think it is important to find a hair dressers that does your hair to the standard that you like your hair. Because only you know your hair better than anyone else.

The hairdresser started off my washing my hair which felt amazing afterwards. Then she cut half an itch off as I want to keep the length of my hair but neaten up the ends. Then after blow drying it she then used the straighteners to obviously straighten my hair. When she had finished my hair felt so good, it was soft, lightweight and just felt amazing. As well as getting my hair cut I also brought my favourite shampoo and conditioner by Dove, called the pure care dry oil.

The next thing I did was get my nails done. The place I got them done at is a small, local business run by a lady who lives near by. I got the Gel nails done in this gorgeous, burgundy, red colour perfect for the Autumn season. If you haven't heard of Gel nails they are basically a nail polish which dries into a solid, so when there ready to take of you just simple peel it off in one piece.

Four times a year the world of fashion comes out of hibernation and comes at us with a bang. The world's leading designers come out of hiding and show us the amazing creations they have been working ever so hard on. This can only mean fashion week. Fashion week is a chance for the best designers of the world to bring out their take on what the world will be wearing in the up and coming seasons.

This years Fashion week was no exception, as it was London's turn to layout the catwalk and bring on the models wearing the amazing creations to show to the worlds press. Along side New York, Paris and Milan, London is one of the fashion capitals of the world with British labels such as Burberry and Julian McDonald being popular labels to watch out for. The luxury of theses brands make them what they are and the fact that they are so wonderfully made make them one of the most famous.

Although I have never been to a Fashion week show, (but I wish I will one day), that doesn't mean I can't get excited just like everyone else. Searching through the internet, flicking through the magazines and reading of the blogs from the people who were actually there gives me the chance to really look at the designs in great detail and search for the A-list celebrities sitting on the very front frow.    So after looking all through the images of the outfits from the week so far, here are my favourite.

Burberry

Julian McDonald

A day dreamer.

I am now twenty years old. A bit of an obvious statement to make but it's true. This means I am no longer  a teenager, school is a distance memory of the past and I'm less than a year away from being the legal age to drink alcohol in America.

Where's all this heading you may ask? Well in the last six months or so the people I used to see everyday, Monday-Friday, 9-3 at school have now all grown up and gone on to do amazing things. Some have gone away to university (as have I), some are off travelling the world and some are even engaged and having children. Which is absolutely amazing and I'm so happy for them. But at the same time I am extremely jealous of their success because although I'm heading into my third year of university (which I never thought I would be able to do), I do feel as if my life has gone kind of boring in some way. I mean I did go on a great holiday back in June, but since then it's slowed right down.

Is it okay to feel like this? And am I the only one who feels this way? Am I being silly in thinking this or do other people in my situation have some solution to this feeling because I would love to know.

Sometimes I wish that I would wake up and something amazing would happen. Something that would add some excitement in my life. Is that too much to ask or am I too much of a dreamer?

My favourite British fashion and beauty bloggers.

I've been reading and watching beauty post and videos for two years now and I am completely obsessed with them! I love coming home from University and having a brand new video to watch in my subscription box where my knowledge of make up or fashion expands. That is why I thought it would be a good idea to celebrate some of my favourite beauty bloggers/vloggers. Just like them I have a huge passion in all things fashion and beauty and would love it if It could one day be a profession of mine. So here are a list of my favourites.

My top 3 favourite perfumes

This post is all about scents and my all time favourite perfumes. I love having a set of perfumes that you can say is your signature sent. The type of perfume you wear portrays the person you are and your own personality. Everyone has a sent that they love and stick to, something that says 'this is who I am'.
And as a new season is coming to light what better way to say hello to Autumn than a new sent that screams Summer is over and Autumn is well and truly here.

1.YSL Black Opium- This is the newest sent that I own. It's one that my mum brought me for my twentieth birthday. I'm not very good at describing scents but I will do my best. This smell is strong, deep and something I would wear at night if I'm out with my friends. It's seductive yet sophisticated. The packaging is really nice and it has a black cover with hints of glitter all around.

2. Miss Dior- This perfume is completely different to the first one. It's a really sweet, girly smell. The bottle is really pretty with a cute, little bow on the lid.

3. Vera Wang Princess- This is my last and third favourite perfume from my collection. It's quite similar to the YSL but  a little bit stronger and has quite a deep smell if that makes ant sense. Again the bottle is really pretty with a gold crown as the lid.

You can tell from the perfumes above what type of scents that I
like and I tend to stick to the ones that I know because I know
what suits me and what I know smells nice to me. I think when it
comes to perfumes It's important to pick your sent out carefully
because they are expensive and it's something that is going to last you
a long time.

Collection speedy highlighter

For a while now I have been on the search for a really good highlighter. One that actually looks good and does what it says. I wanted one that was easy to apply and affordable all at the same time. I came across one from Clinque  called the chubby stick highlighter which was at £19. I thought it was quite a lot for a small product so went on the hunt for a exact dupe.

On a trip to Boots with my friend, browsing through the isles I came across the Collection stand and saw that they had a new range of products. One of which was their Speedy Highlighter. I applied a bit onto my hand and the colour and finish was so lovely and I was so impressed I ended up buying it.

When applying it onto the skin, it glides onto your check bones beautiful and effortlessly. It's so easy to use anyone can do it and if you have never used a highlighter before and want to start using them this is a great product to start with.

The colour itself is called Pearl Sheen which is a really pretty pink shimmer. It's one of those colours that would look great on all skin tones.

Another great thing about this product is that it's such a good size. Perfect to fit into your handbag or even a smaller bag on a night out. The price was so affordable you can't say no. At the moment in Boots they have everything on Collection for under £5. The speedy highlighter was either £2.99 or £3.99, either way a really good price.

One thing I will say about it is that the Speedy part of the product is that it dries really quickly which is defiantly does do.

Whats in my university bag

Going along with the back to uni/college/school theme, I thought I would write a what is in my university bag. I love watching these types of videos because 1- I'm nervous and 2-it gives me ideas if I'm looking for a new hand bag. So here we go!

As you would have read in my last post, I got a new bag for university from Zara, It's a large, black, tote bag which I LOVE.

  • HP laptop to write my essays and work on
  • Blue, spotty, plastic folder to keep all my work in
  • An A4 note pad to write all my notes in
  • My house keys
  • IPhone
  • Ear phones and charger
  • Pens
  • Purse
  • Hair comb
  • Compact mirror
  • lipgloss
  • Perfume (ted baker)

The only way is skin care

Having a good skin care routine is becoming a vital part in the daily life of the average person. People are starting to realise that it is really important to look after your skin so that in years to come your skin looks as radiant and glowing as it does right now.

For me I am still learning to this day what products work best for my skin and the type of skin care routine I want to achieve. It has only been a couple of years since I have really started an actual step by step into what I put on my face. Only a few years ago I didn’t even know what a cleanser was and I was just using any old wet wipe to remove any make up I did have on my face. So when I started watching beauty videos on YouTube it open my eyes into the world of looking after your skin and how important it is to start doing something about it now before it’s too late.

So here are two skin care routines I use on rotation that may help you start your own routine. One is budget friendly and the other is a more luxury routine so you have the choice of two.

The simple routine.
As a student I know how hard it is to save your money and not go out on a splurge and end up spending every last penny to your name.SO using high street products such as Simple and Nivea are a great starting point.
The one product I go back to time and time again to take of my makeup is the Nivea miceller water. It is a lazy way but it’s so much better than using a wet wipe. This literally glides through the skin and melts away any make up you have on your face. It’s gentle on the skin does not harm it what so ever and it’s also super affordable. The next thing I do to my skin is cleanse and tone. The products I use to do this is with the Simple purifying cleansing lotion and smoothing facial toner. Just like with the miceller water it is super gentle, feels extreamly smooth on the skin and doesn’t contain any harsh chemicals. The last step of the budget friendly routine is moisturising and all I use for this is the small, blue pot by Nivea. It’s so simple but so effective. In my opinion this is the most important part of a routine. My nan has been using Nivea for years and she swears by this product and her skin looks amazing.

The luxury option
Every so often it is nice to treat yourself. It could be on a gorgeous pair of shoes or a magnificent handbag. To others they like to spend their hard earned cash on a little luxury for their skin care. I haven’t used a great deal of skin products but the ones that I have used are utterly wonderful. The first item is the N0.7 beautiful skin cleanser. I love this product so much, especially for removing my makeup. It’s quite a thick texture but once you start applying it to your skin it just melts right into the pores and gentle glides the makeup away. It also has a very creamy feel to it when it is on the skin and leaves your skin feeling like brand me. The softness of this product is amazing and is the perfect product to start you on your skin care adventure. The next set of luxury skin care items are from Liz Earl which I am sure you all have heard of. I did a blog post on the Liz Earl skin care back in May so I won’t get go too much into that. The skin care items from the Liz Earl range include; the hot cloth cleanser, the skin boosting tonic, the gentle face exfoliator and the moisturiser.
I hope this post has really helped if you’re thinking of starting a skin care routine and guides you into what products you would like to try.

Back to school/college/university

Here we are back to that time of the year again. Where the sun decides to stay away for another few month, where late nights turn into early ones and that time of the year where we have to go back to school, college or university.

That time of the year is called September. I cannot believe we are at that time of the year already. I know everyone says this but time does literally fly by and even more so as you get older. It only seems like yesterday on new years eve when me and my two friends were in a pub toilet celebrating the beginning of a new year after we had walked from one party to another.

That is why I thought it would be a good idea to write a blog post about how to get back into the swing of having to wake up early in the morning and to get our brains into work mode.

1- Celebrate the memories you made from the summer by printing out your summer holiday pictures and presenting them in places you can look back and think to your self what a good summer it was.

2- A new year means a n new start. Starting a new school or college year means you can forget any harsh memories or experiences you had during the year before and to give your self a new you. Make new, nice memories with the friends you know are your real friends.

3-For some of you the new school year is an important one where the exams and assessments you take are very important when taking the next step into your lives. Work hard and try the very best you can do, because that is all anyone can ask of you. Create a schedule plan to work out when you are going to balance studying time and still maintaining a social life.

Some of the things I love to do when going back to a new year at university is new stationary. I can't tell you how much joy I get from having new, clean note books and brand new pens. The stationary I brought are very simple pieces and are easy to access. I do a journalism and PR course so my resources are limited.

The stationary items are from Tesco's and Sainsbury's. Having something nice to put your work in makes you want your work to be the best it can be and makes the process less boring. When I was at school we had boring, plain books to write in so having something more colourful or something with a pattern on it makes all the difference.

Another item I have brought for my last year at university is a new hand bag. I love this bag so much. Its a plain, black, tote bag from zara with large handles so it isn't heavy on your shoulders and it's large enough to fit a laptop or tablet.  This was £22.99.

I hope this helps with another going back to school, college or university to get  back to a routine and to have the best year yet because your school times are the best times of your life. It may seem like a drag and you just want to get out but when you do get out life gets harder and you realise how easy school life was and how much you miss it.

My Asos wish list!

I have a confession to make. It may come as no surprise but I am  a shopaholic. But to be honest who isn't these days? With so many affordable high street shops around there is a style to suit everyone without having to break the bank. As well shopping centres to buy from there is also a whole world full of online retailers such as Boohoo.com and Missguided.com just to name a few. It is a way to do your shopping from the comfort of your own home without leaving your front door.

There is one online retailer that comes to my mind first when I won't to have a 'little' online spending spree and that is Asos.com Everyone has heard of Asos and if you haven't you need to check them out right away. Asos literally have everything your looking for. If it's an outfit for a wedding they have it, or if your going on your summer holidays they have a range of swimwear outfits that you wouldn't even know where to start.

That is why I thought of writing this post to show what I have been really liking on Asos and wish to purchase in the future. My personal style is quite girly yet simple. I love pretty skater skirts and going out playsuits. So if this sounds like something you would like then carry on reading.

I am absolutely loving this style of dress. It's a classic piece that can be worn in the summer and in the winter with a pair of tights.

I have been obsessed with stripped clothing the last few months and they continue to be a hot trend leading into the Autumn/Winter season. I have many striped tops but just can't get enough of them.

My favourite MAC products

This post is dedicated to one my all time favourite make up brands MAC. I've only really known about the brand for about two years so to be telling you about my favourite products from them is really exciting and two years is a good time to have tried out some of their stuff.

I first heard about MAC when I first started watching beauty videos on YouTube and it opened my eyes to a whole other world into make up. All I was using back then were brands such as Rimmel and Mybelline because that was what I could afford. So when it came to my eighteenth birthday I asked my mum for some MAC make up. We went into a department store and seeing their make up stand was like being in luxury.

The staff who work there are lovely and are happy to help with any recommendations and help you with what products would work best for you. They sat me down and applied all this lovely make up on me I felt like a princess and selected my favourite of the butch they shown me.

Studio fix foundation- This is such a great foundation, so great it is probably my favourite foundation I have ever used and that is saying something. To some people it won't work as well for them and may break them out. For me it made my skin look flawless and felt silky smooth when applying it. I use the shade NC20. I use this all the time on a night out or to a party because it last such a long time.

Skin finish natural powder- Most powders I have used in the past have made my skin look really powdery and not very natural at all. But this does the complete opposite and just gives an extra step in your make up routine. It is also good for helping your make up last longer.

Blush in warm soul- If you are looking for a blusher to wear on a night out this is the one for you. It's a red/slightly brown with a really nice pretty shimmer in it and just pulls the whole make up come together. It also acts as a really nice highlighter because of the shimmer.

Lipstick in Angle- As I am sure most of you know MAC have a large range of lipsticks in any colour you can think of in matt or shimmer. There is literally one for everyone. Because of my skin tone I like a darkish neutral shade that I can wear everyday and that is what Angle does. It glides on smoothly and smells amazing like all MAC lip products do. The packaging is sleek and just all around amazing.

My favourite things this month!

As the month of August starts to draw to a close, I thought it would be a good idea to round of what has been a calm and relaxing time to talk about some of the things I have been absolutely loving the past thirty-one days.

The first thing I have been really enjoying is a TV series called Gossip Girl. I started watching this programme because Pretty Little Liars has been finished for the season and a tone of people have recommended it to me. If you haven't heard of Gossip Girl (where have you been?), it's about a group of a elite group of friends in the city of New York and all the drama that goes on in their lives. It's full of romance, friendship and plenty of partying. The series began in2007 and ended in 2012 with the main character played by Hollywood actress Blake Lively. I've just started series two and so far I have been really liking it.

As I sit and type this very moment news broke out last night that boyband One Direction will be taking time out next year to peruse solo projects. (sad face ;() Since last night the world has gone mad. It's all over the news and plastered all over day time TV. I only mention this because the second thing I have been loving is their new single 'Drag me Down'. I cannot not stop listening to this song. It's got such a moving rhythm and catchy lyrics. In my opinion it's their best song yet. It's such a shame that they are splitting up but in the five years they have had enormous success despite all the drama going on in their personal lives and I am sure their is much more to come.

The last thing I have be liking this month is a shoe. There not just any shoe they are a pair of trainers. I have never been that into trainers, I've always been a girly girl wearing pink sandals, but in the last month I've been needing a pair of practical and comfy shoes. I did some research and found a pair I really like. They are Adiddas stan smith. There so comfortable and actually look quite trendy with the right outfit.

Don't give up!

I've decided to write this particular post because in the UK it is GCSE results day. If your not familiar, GCSE's are the exams you take when your 15/16 at the end of your school year before you go on to take A-levels or move onto to do a course at college. This year in particular it was my brothers turn to take his exams in the hope he got enough to get into a education centre with the Cobblers football club, which in fact he did do very well.

If you have taken exams before that were extremely important, you will know full well that taking exams are full of stress, anxiety and months of reading endless books and tones of writing a million exam style questions in till your mind is about to explode. I and most other people have been through this torment and can tell you in is going to be one of the hardest times of your schooling time but there is only so much studying and revising you can do. That is why it is so important you balance studying with taking time out and relax in between because without the break your mind wont be able to take in as much information as you would if you had taken breaks.

I thought this would be the perfect time to tell you about my experiences when I took my GCSE's and to give you some advise and tips on how to get through one of the hardest but rewarding times you will ever have at school.

I took my exams four years ago in 2011 which feels like a life time away. In the UK you take the normal subjects such as Maths, English and Science. Then you get to pick two other completely different subjects to take along side the others. I chose to take Textiles, Music ans ICT. When I was at school I wasn't the smartest and I wasn't stupid but I did okay and got what I needed to do my A-levels. So don't worry about getting straight A's in every subject you take because if what you do next requires say two B's and a C, then why waste your time trying to get 100% in something you may not even get. Don't get me wrong if that is your target go ahead and earn the grades you deserve but don't stress your self out by trying to answer questions that you simply don't understand.

One tip I will give you is after an exam don't discuss answers with other people that were also in that exam. Because if it turns out you have wrote a completely different answer to everyone else you will get your self stressed out thinking what you have written is wrong when in fact it might be them you have written the wrong answer.

One more thing I will say is that GCSE's are important and they help you in the future with university or getting a job but it is not the end of the world if you don't do as well as you would have liked. The world will not end if you don't get a B in English Language. As long as you get a C in your main subjects you WILL BE FINE. You can also re-take them. You can only try your best which I know everyone says but it's true. I never thought I would ever get into university studying a subject I love.

My current lip product collection

When it comes to lip products a girl can never have enough. Every so often a new one from your favourite brand will pop up in your local boots or superdrug store and you just have to own it or a shade you haven't got will most defiantly be added to your collection. It's a surprise I haven't opened up my own lipstick store. With the amount I have I could sell them no problem.

Out of the all the make up items a lip stick or lip gloss is one of the most effective in making your make up look effortless. It doesn't just make your lips look fuller or brighter it makes your lips kissable to any desirable human being. So to all you lip product lovers this one's for you.

Cheryl's X Factor outfits

If you live in the UK you will know that talent show programme The X F actor is just around the corner about to hit our TV screens very soon. I've been such a big fan of the show that I've watched it since it first aired back in 2004. There's nothing more I look forward to than getting in on a Saturday evening, with a cup of tea watching a group of wannabe pop starts sing on stage in front of millions.

Just like the contestants there has also been many changes on the judging panel including newcomers Nick Grimshaw (Radio 1's breakfast host) and pop start herself Rita Ora. But there is one judge in particular that comes in mind when thinking of the X Factor and that is former Girls Aloud star Cheryl Fernandez- Versini. Since rising to fame on Pop star the rivals I have been a big fan of not only her music but her chose of clothing. She hasn't always got it right but haven't we all?

That is why I thought I would dedicate a blog post going down memory lane to look back at Cheryl's best outfits during her time on the X Factor.

Haul 2015

In the last couple of weeks I may have got a little carried away with buying various amount of clothing. Just like any other girl and boy I LOVE SHOPPING! I love spending money and coming home with brand new thongs folded in plastic bags as they swing off my arms. There is just an amazing feeling you get when you get back from a good old spending with brand new items to show off to everyone.

So I thought I would write a blog post showing you what I brought cause I'm very excited about getting to wear the items that I brought. The clothing items I brought are not appropriate for the summer season and if you live in the UK you will that summer is practically over because looking out the window of my bedroom it is pouring it down with rain so in my eyes summer in the UK is over. The clothes that I brought are really good transitional pieces to help ease your way into the Autumn season.

The image at the top are the items I got in Topshop. I am literally in love with the outfit I brought from Topshop. The first item is a denim dungarees dress. Which is a perfect transitional piece coming into the Autumn and there a huge trend right now. The item next to the dungarees is a mustered coloured, quarter length top. The yellow, mustered colour is such a huge trend in the next season and goes perfectly with the dungarees.

The next set of clothing items are from my good old favourite shop H&M. The first item is a royal blue jumper with the number 58 on the front. The number and sleeve has a Indian, American tribe pattern. This was designed by singer and song writer Foxes. The second item is a high neck, stripped top which again would go really nicely with the dungarees. The last two are the same in a different colours. I just couldn't decide so got both colours. There just a casual, slouchy top that will literally go with everything.
