Benefit Roller lash mascara

For today's blog post I decided to write a review on Benefit's new Roller lash mascara. I got this mascara free with Elle magazine, which is a total bargain. Benefit mascara's and their make up products  in general are quite pricey, so when I saw that you got one free with the issue of this magazine I was totally frilled. The magazine itself was £4, so in theory your saving yourself a lot of money.

One thing that benefit nail in their products is the packaging. There is no denying that they put a lot of effort into their packaging, and this one is no exception. The outer box is a cute, peachy pink colour, with a monochrome, checked patten lid. The actually mascara is the same pink on the want and writing, but the main product is in black. The two colours together really contrast each other and match very well.

Enough of what the packaging looks like, lets get on with if the mascara is actually any good. The want has a slight bend with tiny black bristols. This allows the wand to really get under the last line and extended the lashes to create a great effect. The mascara is long lasting and makes your lashes look as if you have false ones on. They make your eyes look bigger as they voluminous the lashes very well .They also make the lashes look fuller which is what there suppose to do.

This reminds me of the Benefit they're real mascara, their quite similar but is an all round decent mascara. Also because it was free in a magazine it is only a travel size. But this will still last you a long time and you can easily pack in into your hand bag to re apply.

Updated skin care routine

I've decided to write an updated skin care routine as there are a few things that I have added to my usually routine that you might want to know about.

With skincare routines. I think it's really important to find products that work best for you and your skin. We all have different lifestyles that differ what we do to our skin so to find a routine that fits round what you do is also really important.

If your new in starting a skin care routine, first find out what type of skin you have. There is normal, dry, oily or a combination of the three. For me why skin is normal, so using different products dose not react to my skin. The products shown below are ok for my skin. So what works one me may not work for you.

The first thing I do is remove my make up. There are loads of products out there for removing make up, so make sure you know which one will work best for you. For me I use the Nivea daily essentials cleansing mousse. This is a really great product for removing all of my make up from the day. It comes out as a foamy mousse and I just place that onto a cotton pad and rub where the make up is. This takes off my make up really quickly and doesn't harm or irritate my skin. I then rinse that off with warm water and a flannel.

The next thing I do is wash my face. I fill up the sink with warm water and then use the Nivea daily essentials facial wash gel. This is really good for making your face nice and clean and giving you a refreshed feel to your skin.

The next thing I do is something I have talked about before in another blog post so I wont talk about it to much but that is the cleansing and toning sections. As you know f you have seen my previous post I use the simple cleansing lotion and facial toner. As I have said before these do exactly what cleansers and toners are suppose to do and leaves your face feeling so so smooth.

Last but not least of my skin care routine is to moisturise. I have also talked about this before but it is one my favourite moisturises around. It is simply Nivea cream. That is it. It is the most simple of creams but works really well. It's quite thick but does the job perfectly.

January favourites

I can't believe I'm saying this but usually the months just fly by. This month, the first month of 2015 has gone quite slowly. I'm not complaining because I've noticed as I've gotten older the months just fly by and I still can't believe were in 2015, it's just made.

Instead of me blabbering on it's time to get on with the actual post. I've decided to do a January favourites as January is a good month to be liking new or old products as I got given loads of make up, perfume and body products for christmas from friends and family.

The first one is the Loreal true match foundation. Out of all the foundations I have used since starting to wear make up, this is by far my favourite. I hate make up that looks cakey and makes your face look non-natural looking. Hence why I love this one so much as it gives enough coverage leaving a natural finish. It also feels nice when you put it on making your skin feel flawless and smooth.

I think I've spoken about this product before but I've used it so much this month I just have to talk about it again, This is the Collection shimmer shades. They contain four shades, two which are matt and the other two are shimmery. They leave a nice pink flush to your checks which I really like.

This has probably been my favourite product throughout the whole of January. My mum got me this for Christmas and I don't think I can ever go back. It is the Body shop hand cream in shea. It smells amazing and leaves your hands feeling hydrated, moisturised and smooth. I think it's important to use a hand cream especially during the colder months as your skin can get very dry.

This has also been another firm favourite of mine. My mum again got me this for Christmas It's a mini Ted Baker perfume in the sent Ella. The smell is just un-describable it's that nice. It's also the perfect size to fit in your hand bag.

My make up routine

When it comes to my make up routine, i like to make an effort. Especially when i'm at uni and i'm going to be there all day. The majority of the products i use are drugstore products but there are a few what i class as higher end products.

When applying my make up, i hate looking cakey and looking like i've got tonnes of make up on. I like a medium coverage with a natural finish.

During the daytime i go for a natural, pink nude on the eye, as it is during the day and at uni i want my make up look to be appropriate for the time of day.

Everything in the pictures below will be listed at the bottom.

Mini make up review

Mini make up review

In the last few weeks, I've been doing a bit of beauty product buying as I wanted to try out a couple of new make up items. So I've decided to write a mini review on the products I have brought and tried. Some you may already know of and some you may have never heard off.
So I hope this helps if your thinking about buying these products and trying them.

Maybelline Baby skin instant pore eraser

I've been trying to find a product that will actually make my make up stay on all day, as I'm in Milton Keynes most of the time with uni and haven't got the time to keep replying my make up. I have the Benifit Pore-fessional, but it's quite pricey and want something that will do the job for the fraction of the price. When i went into Boots I spotted this and heard a few people talk about it so i decided to give it a go. I love the feeling of this primer on my skin, it feels so smooth and soft, not like anything else. It does make my make up last longer but not as long as I would like it too, but still a good product.

Maybelline sensational last multiplying mascara

This is a new product by Maybelline as I haven't seen it before and decided to give it a go as i was looking for a new mascara as my current one is just about running out. I like this mascara, it makes your lashes longer and fuller (what it is meant to do). I actually prefer this to the falses and would defiantly get this again.

Max Factor excess shimmer

This product i have been dying to use for ages. I saw them first before christmas when i wasa shopping with my mum and really liked the texture and the feel of the eye shadows. I have the shades crystal and copper. The crystal shade is one i would use on a night out as it is quite a sparkly and not suitable for daytime. The second shade is my favourite of the two, it suits my skin colour and look really nice over the lip. The formula is creamy then when you rub it on it comes out as a powder.

Bourjois bronzing powder

I'm not going to lie but I brought this product because it smells exactly like chocolate and I couldn't resist. As a bronzer it's really nice to add a bit of colour to your face if your feeling a bit pale and just adds a bit of a natural summer glow to the face. This isn't the best for contouring unless you have a proper contour brush.

Collection shimmer shades

Last but not least, the collection shimmer shades. I really this product. The pigment is on point and they add a nice, natural colour to your face. There is two matt and two shimmer shades and are all really nice pink shades.

My new fitness routine

Just like everyone else in lets face it the majority of the world, I have started a detox, new healthy start to 2015.  I know at the start of every new year everyone says's 'I'm going to eat really healthy, exercise and lose weight'.  So i thought i would write about what i'm doing to start a healthy, new 2015.

But I just want to start of by saying I'm not trying to lose weight or get really skinny. Because it isn't healthy or cleaver. I'm happy with my weight and feel that my weight is at a healthy balance for my height and lifestyle. If your reading this and feel this could kick start your new healthy lifestyle, then please carry on reading.

I'm starting this new healthy, exercise routine to tone up and to give my self a more healthy lifestyle for the future.

Firstly what i wear when i exercise. I have started of with some tight, navy blue leggings, A little bit like the ones cyclist wear. There from Primark for just £7, which is a total bargin. There super comfortable and easy to run it which is most important. I also brought the matching sports bra which was just £4. So no one can say they can't afford any gym wear clothing. Its also ideal to wear a good pair of trainers as wearing the wring shoes could lead to an injury and you don't want that at the start of your new exercise routine. Another tip is if you have long hair, make sure you tie your hair back as you don't want your hair getting in the way.

The next step is to warm up. This an important step as if you don't warm up you could injure you self preventing you from any further exercise. This can be done by doing four ten second stretches of your arms and legs. Once i had done my warm up it is time to actual exercise. As i have not ran in quite a while and don't want to tier my self too much. I planned a route i was going to run and then ran it. When i got back it's important to drink loads of water and eat plently.

I hope this helps for any one wanting to get more healthy in the new year. (:

It's 2015!!

Just want to start of by saying happy new year! I hope everyone had an amazing new years eve, wherever you spent it at home with family or out at your local pub.

I know everyone says this every year, but 2014 has literally flown by. It seems like only yesterday i was saying the same thing about 2013.

2014 was one of those years where anything could iv'e happened. There were tragedy's, laughter and happiness. But for me 2014 was a pretty good one. I saw Ed Sheeran live at the Itunes, went on holiday to Tunisia, met the mayor of London himself, Boris Johnson and Arsenal won the FA cup.

Now that 2015 has arrived there are so many things to look forward too, such as; The Vamps in May, 5 seconds of summer in June, i turn 20 and hopefully some lovely summer holiday.

So whatever 2015 brings for you, i hope it brings happiness and health.
