Best dressed at the Brit awards 2015

Wednesday night saw the return of my favourite awards show The Brit Awards. In my opinion it has to be one of the coolest shows in the UK and it would be an absolute dream to go to. So many controversial moments have occurred during the shows due to the large amounts of alcohol given to the celebrities and it being broadcast on TV live.

The images below are outfits worn by music artist and celebrities in general who in my opinion wore the best outfits on the show. It's one of my favourite things to do while watching the programme, looking at all the outfits and deciding which ones are my favourites.

This first outfit is worn by one of my favourite celebrities Fearne Cotton. If you don't know she is a presenter on radio 1 and also does some TV presenting as well. I love the blend of golden shades in this pretty skater dress. It shows of her figure really nicely and elongates her legs.

This dress on Ellie Goulding is just stunning. It's feminine, pretty and elegant. The lace, floral detailing is so pretty and full of tradition.

I absolutely adore this suit inspired play suit on Taylor Swiff. It's sexy, sophisticated and just looks beautiful on her.

Model of the movement Cara Delevingne, sported a feminine take on the traditional working man suit, glammed up with some black, stiletto heels. The open top shirt showing a hint of cleavage adds a spice of sexiness to make this outfit a second looker.

current beauty buys

For today's post I decided to write a post about what beauty products I am currently loving at the moment. I haven't a great deal of new make up products, but I thought I would show you some of the make up products that I haven't used in a while, that I have gone back to because there so good.

As you may have guessed already, the majority of the make up I wear is from Rimmel. I'm not sure why I just really, really like the brand. It's probably my top favourite drugstore brand to use. Which is why I am going to start with the Rimmel products I am currently really liking. The first one is a product I use nearly everyday and that is the match perfection foundation. Everything about this foundation is perfect. It applies nicely to the skin, doesn't look cakey and gives the right amount of coverage. As well as that it is a really good price at just £6.99.

The second Rimmel product is one I have brought quite recently and that is the lasting finish colour blush in live pink. This is a really nice blusher that just adds a nice, healthy colour to the checks. It's not to over powering an sits on the skin perfectly. It's also really small, perfect for carrying in your bag or travelling with.

The last Rimmel product (thank god) is another one I have brought most recently and that is the hide the blemish concealer. I saw this in superdrug and thought I would try it and see how it goes. For a person who only uses concealer to cover dark circles, I don't think I will re-purchase this one. I mean it's okay and I'm still using it but it's not that great and covering dark circles. If you use concealer for other reasons such as; blemishes or spots that this one would be more suitable. Also it's in the shape of a lipstick which makes the perfect size to apply in places that might be awkward to get to.

The next product is one I am sure most of you have heard or probably own yourself. It is a new one for me and that is the Mac lipstick in the shade angle. It's quite similar to the other I have but more pinky. It's a really nice light, natural pink which is great for an everyday look.

Last but not least, is a product I have been using for a quite a while now and that is the soap and glory supercat eyeliner pen. As I have said in a previous blog, I am terrible at putting on eyeliner. So when I brought this one I found it so easy to apply without making any mess. It actually allows me to draw a straights line and stays on for literally all day. It does not budge.

Barry M speed dry nail polish review

As I'm sure like most girls, I love painting my nails. I love having them all different colour and making them pretty. So when I heard that Barry m were releasing a new range of nail polishes, I couldn't have been more excited. Barry m have always been my favourite brand of nail varnishes. They have a range of so many colours, from pastel pinks to royal blues. They don't chip, smudge and if your really careful last for ages.

The problem is I have absolutely no patience to take off my old nail polish, re-apply them then wait for them to dry. The good thing about these new Barry m polishes, is that their fast drying. There are so many nail polishes out there that they dry with in a couple of minutes and actually take much longer than needed. The reason why I put these to the test to see how quick they actually really dry.

Their range comes in a whole variety of really pretty, pastel colours, perfect for the spring and summer season. They range from;violet lilac to tropical orange. I also love the retro style lip with a black and which checked top. The colour I chose that stood out from the rest is called in a heat beat, which is a pretty, light pink.

The formula is quite thick and takes about two coats when applying. You can do a third if you like, but for me two was enough. To my surprise they do dry really quickly. By the time you have finished your first coat there already dry to start the next one and before you know it, your finished. The pigmentation is really nice that has a pretty shine which shows the colour just nicely. Overall it is a really nice nail polish and does exactly what it says on the tin.

What i wore and make up i used on a night out

On Saturday night, my dad's girlfriend had a party for her birthday. Therefore I have decided to show you what I wore and what make up I used. Starting with the clothes I wore an outfit that I've wanted to wear since I brought it but there hasn't been the perfect night or reason to wear it. So when the party came about, I thought this was the perfect time to wear the outfit that I'd been dying to wear for ages.

To me, when I go out I want to wear something that I feel comfortable in, gives me confidence and suits me down to a tea. Clothes are really important on a night out or a party as it gives you confidence which sets you on for a great night with friends and family. The outfit that I wore was a faux leather, pencil skirt from Zara. My dad got me this for Christmas when out shopping in London Oxford street. It makes me look slim and gives me a great figure.I wore it with a black, lace, bralet crop top from Topshop. It goes so so well with the leather skirt and I just absolutely LOVE IT! Along with this I wore  a simple pair of black heels from Newlook.

I don't know if it's just me, but I love the process of applying my make up just as much as the actual event it's self. As a base I used the MAC studio fix foundation. This is a great foundation for nights out as it gives good coverage and last all night. I then used the mayballine fit me concealer. For me this is a little bit too heavy for me. I only tend to use concealers under my eye and this is more for covering marks on the skin. I then used the MAC mineralise founder and blusher in warm soul. For contouring I used the Benefit hoola bronza and the high beam high lighter. For my eyes I used the Naked palette number one, my soap and glory super cat eyeliner and the Benefit roller lash mascara. Then last but not least I used MAC lipstick in faux.

Revloution redemption palette iconic 3- review

In the last few weeks I've been obsessed with eye shadow palettes. I don't know why the reason for that is, but every time I've been in Boots or Superdrug I seem to be drawn to the eye shadows on all make up counters. When it comes to eye shadows, I tend to stick with warmer tones as I'm olive skinned and tend to stay with natural colours such as pinks, or browns.

As I'm not a make up expert I like make up that is easy to apply and easy to use in general. So when I saw this palette I wanted to give this a try to see how easy they are to use and blend. As well as that the colours are just what I usually go for in eye shadows.

The palette contains twelve colours, which is pretty good for a palette, so there is plenty of colours and tones to chose from. There a four matt colours and the other eight are all shimmers. I would wear the matt colours during the day and the more sparkly colour maybe on a night out or on a special occasion.

The pigmentation of the colours come across and apply really well. There easy to place on the eye and the blending of the various colours contrast really well together. Not only is the product itself really good the palette is only £4. Really is a really good value for money.
