The White Company-skincare

As some of you may I know I have worked for The White Company for just over a year and in January they laughed their own range of skincare products. This included six items including; The Super Balm, The Eye Revive, The Super Serum, The Advanced Hydration, The Hand Cream and The Night Oil.

Whenever a new range of skincare comes out I have to try it so I purchased the cleanser, the serum and The Eye Revive and these sounded the most interesting to me. The packaging of these products are very simple and typical to The White Company look, with the white body and silver lid. The founder of The White Company wanted to create a skincare range which was simple, natural ingredients  and only takes a few steps.

My favorite out of the three that I purchased was the cleanser. I love how lightweight the texture is and how easily it glides of all of your make up. It starts as a white cream and turns into an oil when rubbed into the skin. It leaves your face feeling so soft, clean and smooth everything you want in a cleanser. This also has a really nice lemon scent which doesn't over power the product.

The second of the products is the Eye Revive. Just like the cleanser the texture of the product is really lightweight and has a cooling feel to it.You just need a small amount on your ring finger and you gentle dab under your eye. It is used to reduce redness and lines around the eyes. As I'm not of age to have lines around my eyes I haven't noticed a difference in this department but believe this will help in the future.

The third and final product is the serum. I've never really used a serum before in my skincare routine so was really excited to try something new. I apply this by using a small amount on my three fingers and gentle pat onto the skin. It has really helped my skin look less puffy and tired which I apply before my moisturizer.

Overall the skincare range is a really nice way to start if you haven't had a skincare routine before. Everything is very simple and not over powering.

Slacking on blogging

I wanted to write this blog post as for a long time I have not wrote a thing and feel I owe some readers some explanation. Working full time, going to the gym, seeing friends and family as well as blogging is quite time consuming. Some people breeze through the errands they have to run and still find time to write paragraphs of their thoughts and opinions.

When I left university I though I would have my dream job working for a magazine writing hundreds of articles about subjects I enjoy and love. It turns out reality got in the way and sometimes what you think might happen doesn't actually occur. This does not say I have given up I have just lost motivation in my blog and have seem to have developed writers block.

I am going to make a pledge to myself and anyone who reads my blog to write at least two post a month and then continue to write more and more as time goes on. I've realized I need to put what I love first rather than the things I think I have to put first.

Ouia hair care

A large part of my twenty two years of existence has been spent searching for the perfect routine for my hair. The ideal combination to tame my curly and sometimes frizzy mane has been a long mission.  I’m not there yet but am very, very close.

I then heard of a brand called Ouia which had many good things said about. I brought the smooth range from Beauty Bay as I thought this would be the most appropriate for my hair type.

The packaging is very simple, clinical and nothing too fancy or over the top. When I started using the shampoo I noticed the texture is very think and doesn’t have any sent to it. A shampoo for the price of £22 I would of expected some sort of smell to it. Aside from the smell the product did leave my hair feeling lovely and soft. My hair wasn’t completely fizz free but I think that’s just the nature of my hair. I then moved on to the conditioner which isn’t as thick as the shampoo. It did however leave my hair feeling so soft and nice.

In conclusion I think their quite pricey for what they are. Cheaper shampoo and conditioner's are a lot better than these and therefore do not think they are worth the price.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

Giorgio Armani

Since I've started watching Youtube videos just over three years ago, there have been tones of Youtubbers who have had a huge influence on what I purchase. These have ranged from clothes, bags, skincare and make up.

The most recent make up purchase was made after seeing so many people mention how good this product was and eventually I caved in and brought the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. After hearing so many great things I thought to myself I must try this.

I've been wearing this for a while now and feel I can give a true, fair review on what I think and if it lived up to my expectations.

I can now honestly say it is one my favourites along with the Loreal True Match and Rimmel Match Perfection. Just like the name suggest it gives your skin a real, healthy, radiant glow whilst giving your skin a bit of coverage. It glides on really easily and applies nicely with a Real Technics Brush.

I try to use this for special occasions as it is more expensive that any of my other foundations but sometimes I can't help using it on an everyday basis. If your looking for a foundation that gives coverage without looking like your face is plastered then I would certainly go for this one.

Ted Baker make up review

If you saw my "What I Got For Christmas 2016" post, then you will know that one of the presents I received was some make up by Ted Baker. Ted Baker is one of favourite higher end brands as the quality of the products is such a high standard and everything is full of pretty, bright, colours. In the past I've had one of their well-known purses so was intrigued by the beauty side of their products.

First of all the best thing that struck me about these products was the packaging. The colour scheme for these are a beautiful rose gold and white which I absolutely love. It's very classy and looks a lot more expensive than you might think.

The Bronzer and blush palette is extremely pigmented. You literally need the smallest amount on your brush when applying this to your skin. It has a shimmery appearance which makes it perfect to wear on a night out or for a special occasion. It also contains a spinney mirror which makes it perfect for traveling with.

The next product is the chunky, blush stick. This is very similar to the Clinique chubby sticks in terms of appearance and application. The colour of the blush is a dark pinky, red making it quite different to your standard pink blush. It's really easy to apply you simply apply it to the area and rub with your fingers. This gives a healthy, natural colour to the skin.

The eye shadow palette contains three shades of colours. One matt brown, a shimmery pink and a dark brown. All three colours are the perfect combination to create a smoky eye. This all contains a mirror which comes in handy.

I wasn't overly keen on the mascara but not sure why. But when I actually used it on my lashes it was actually really good. It lengthened them, gave them volume and gave them a darker appearance.

In the set came with two lip products, one lipstick and lip balm. The lipstick came in a pretty, pale pink which I love. It's moisturising, smooth to apply and came in a gorgeous white packaging similar to a Tom Ford product. The lipbalm came in a natural, pink shade which is perfect for everyday use.

Estee Launder skin care

A couple of months ago I decided to treat myself to some new skin care products but I didn't know which brand to chose from. Therefore I searched through various beauty blogs to find out the most popular brand used. That's when I came across Estee Launder. Estee Launder is one of those brands I've always seen the stored but could only dream of owning due to their larger price tag compared to high street brands. But this time I decided to treat myself to a small skincare set by the brand with just a couple of products. These were brought in the cosmetics shop in Bicester Village meaning I got the set for a brilliant price of £18!

Here's what I thought....

Day Wear advanced multi-protection anti-oxidant crème.

This is probably my favourite product from the range I purchased. This is because I think good moisturiser is a key part in anyone's skincare routine. This one is certainly no exception. It's extremely light, sinks in quickly and glides beautiful on the skin. It also smells so fresh and clean, perfectly for the morning.

Perfectly Clean multi-action purifying mask.

This is defiantly a treat yourself product. The mask really clings to your skin in a good way. You can really feel it tighten the skin and make it feel more radiant. The consistency is quite thick but washes of very easily. Once it is removed of the skin your face will feel like brand new.

Advanced Night Repair Serum and Advanced Night Repair eye cream.

This is the first time I have ever used a serum and eye cream in my skin care routine so I was really excited to try these out. There both a lot more creasy in texture than I expected but still has that softness in the feel.

What I got for Christmas 2016

It's finally acceptable to say that the Christmas holidays are now officially over which I'm actually quite sad about. The excitement and build up to the big day is truly worth holding as when the day finally arrives It's gone in a flash.
The days are filled with family gatherings eating as much food as possible and watching tones of movies.
This year has been the most chilled Christmas I've had in ages and I really enjoyed not waking up with an hangover.

Now were back to normality I thought it would be a good idea to show you what I got for Christmas from my friends and family.
