The month of March

If I am going to be completley honest there is not much to report on this month. There hasn't been any exciting trips or discoveries to inform you about.
Therefore I am going to use this opportunity to write about a particular thought that went through my mind over the weekend. I went out for dinner with a friend and we both realised it has been a long time since we have actually meet up and had a good old catch up. We went to the cinema's last month then the time before that
was new years eve, which to me is a ridiculous time to see your friends.

Ever since we all left university and got full times jobs the months have just flown past and before we know it the month of April has arrived. It is so easily done and we see this time and time again with group of friends as we all get older. Were so used to seeing each other five times a week during school so going from that
to a couple of times a year is completely bonkers.

With this in mind we have decided to start making more effort to see each other. This Sunday we are going to a cinema event to watch the Lion king and Dirty Dancing then on Monday evening going out for some delicious food.

I am so glad we have come to this conclusion as it has made me realise that seeing friends is so important as it allows us to catch up and be updated on each others lives. I would defiantly recommend having regular meetings with friends and encourage to get in touch with old friends who you perhaps haven't spoken to in a really long time. You may even start a whole brand new friendship. You could meet up for a coffee, go out for some cocktails or have a take away evening at someone's house. The opportunities are endless so make them count.

Hair Care Routine

I have been on a mission pretty much all my life trying to find the perfect mix of hair products to tame the frizzy mess. I do feel like I'm almost there and since I've gotten older I have learnt what works and doesn't work for my hair type. Due to my hair being fairly curly I try and keep my style as simple and easy to manage as possible. Below shows the my current hair routine which so far I am loving.

I wash my hair using the Loreal Elvive Nourishing hair oil. It contains argan oil which works perfectly for my hair. It's thick, creamy and smells amazing. Once I've washed my hair I leave it to try in my towel for as long as possible as it is quicker to blow dry. I then add the Treseme Botanique Hydrating Mist which makes it easier to brush through using my tangle teezer. I also add a small amount of the John Frieda Frizz ease through the ends of my hair and continue to blow dry. Once this is complete I add the holy grail of hair products which is the Garnier The Sleek Perfecter Oil. I literally use this on my hair everyday. It just takes the frizziness out of my hair.

Morning and evening skin care routine

Mu skin care routine is something I have grown to love. Although I haven't found my perfect set of products I do still have a few I love and would defiantly use again. This post shares my current choice of products for both the morning and evening.

Starting in chronological order these are the products I use in the morning, either for getting ready for work or chilling out at the weekend. The shower I was my face using the Soap and Glory peaches and clean deep cleansing milk. The two things I dislike about this cleanser is that it sinks my eyes when using the product even if I haven't used it near that area. Therefore I would not advise to use this to remove eye make up. The smell is not very nice either. It reminds me of a hospital or cough medicine. Aside from those two minor set backs, the cleanser is nice at removing make up and dirt of your face. It leaves it feeling clean and smooth.
I then use the Simple kind to skin cleansing lotion and toner. These two do exactly what it says on the tin. I use the cleansing lotion to remove any dirt or left over make up that may be left on my face then the toner to add radiance to my skin. For serum I use The White Company super serum. This is really light weight and I apply this on the three fore fingers and dab into the skin. For my moisturiser I am currently using Number 7 day cream. I would say this is in the middle bracket in terms of pricing. It's nice and think and creamy. Really makes your skin feel hydrated and everything a moisturiser should.

Moving onto the evening part of my routine, this is probably my favourite. This is because I get to remove all the make up that's been on my face all day. I start by using the Nivea 3 in 1 cleansing wipes to remove my eye make up as I said before my cleanser stings my eyes. I then go ahead and use my cleansing to clean my face. The final step is using the Number 7 night cream which like the day cream is lovely, thick and creamy.

The Best Body Butters

Moisturising your body either in the morning or in the evening feels like a choir. Especially in the current cold weather we are experiencing in the UK. This does not help when having to stand with no clothes on while you rub cold lotion on your body.

Therefore I have put together this post showcasing some of my favourite body butters. These have been either brought by myself or given as gifts.

The first one is from Superdrug from their own range. This is in the scent vanilla, which is my favourite smell. The tub is  a really good size and should last you ages. It smells devine like a fresh baked cake. It sinks into the skin beautifully leaving your skin silky smooth. The price is really reasonable only being a couple of pounds. The range also comes in various smells.

The second body butter is from The Body Shop in the Fuji Green Tea. This has a very natural smell with a hint of mint. Really nice you don't like anything too heavy. It keeps the skin really hydrated and smelling fresh and clean. I always found The Body Shop creams last a long time therefore they are defiantly worth paying the extra.

The third body butter is not going to be for everyone but really wanted to include it anyway. This is the Snowella body butter from the Zoella range. It's think and creamy and again leaves the skin feeling lovely and smooth. The scent is not overpowering at all and is just really nice to use on a everyday basis. This comes at a mid price price compared to the other two. The packaging is really pretty with it being white and snow flakes around the edges.

The fourth and finally product is a little but more luxurious from Baylis and Harding. The rub is massive and will last for ages. It has a really nice fresh smell to it nothing sweet like the Superdrug one. It's a white, think, creamy consistency which sinks into the skin so quick and leaves you feeling luxurious and smelling amazing.

There we are, these are my top picks of body butters. It may feel like a pain having to moisturise the body in the cold weather but the benefits are defiantly worth it.
